Blessed Sacrament Church

Ottawa, Ontario

AN INVITATION: If you are visiting our church today, know that we are honored by your presence. Our parish serves the needs of the community in many different ways. We offer preparation for sacraments, education for children and adults, social activities, assistance to those in difficulty, and comfort to the sick and those who mourn a loss. If we can be of service to you, do not hesitate to call on us.

THE PARISH OFFICE  is not open on Mondays. Please note during the months of July and August the office will close at 2:00 p.m. each day. Normal office hours will resume in September.

CANNED FOOD COLLECTION: Blessed Sacrament is a contributor to the Ottawa food bank. In our front foyer we have a wicker basket for your non perishable / canned food items. Our parish is affiliated with the Centretown Churches Social Action, that helps those in need. Every donation makes a difference, so please remember to bring an item for the basket. The volunteers at the food bank have noted in past years that the need for donations is much greater in the summer months with children out of school, so please try to be generous.

WEEKEND MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSES are offered at Blessed Sacrament. PLEASE NOTE: THAT THERE WILL NOT BE ANOTHER COURSE OFFERED UNTIL NOVEMBER 2010.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY and the THE NURSERY Program held during the Sunday 9:30 a.m. Mass break for the summer months. Both ministries will resume in September.

CONFESSIONS: Individual private confessions will be heard weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 6:30 prior to the 6:30 p.m. Mass. Father Soucy will be in the confessional at the front of the church to the left side.

If anyone wishes to make such a bequest in their will, the following clause may be included or added to a will or added by codicil: I give devise and bequeath the sum of $..... to Blessed Sacrament Church Ottawa, to be used for the benefit of the Parish and its pastoral activities.
