CHILDREN'S CONFIRMATION - 2009/2010
At Confirmation, we learn what this new life in the
Spirit implies:
"All-powerful God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, by water and
the Holy Spirit you freed your sons and daughters from sin and gave
them new life. Send your Holy Spirit upon them to be their helper
and guide. Give them the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the
spirit of right judgment and courage, the spirit of knowledge and
reverence. Fill them with the spirit of wonder and awe in your
presence" (Christian Initiation of Adults, #234).
- Confirmation Day: TBD
There will be a service wherein the Confirmandes will be confirmed with the 'laying on of the hands' and 'the calling by name'.
Children in Grade 6 or higher who wish to be confirmed must be registered. See information below.
- Parent Meeting and Registration: Sunday, October 25th, 2009 @ 5:00p.m. in the parish hall. A photocopy of your child's baptismal certificate is required.
- Confirmation children are of the grade level 2 and up.
