Marriage
If you would like to be married at
Blessed Sacrament, please read the following to see what is
involved. If you have been married before, it is important that you
contact the parish office so they can assist you in
completing the steps required for your marriage preparation.
Book the church: Once you have
decided upon a date for your wedding, call to book the church for the
date and time desired. Be sure to have all other major bookings
(caterer, hall & help;) lined up. The office does not accept
tentative bookings. The fee for the church is $500.
Marriage Preparation Course:
Participation in the Marriage Preparation /Course is required. The
courses are usually offered four times a year (January, February,
May and November). Please check with the office.
The preferred method of registering for the course is by e-mail
at blessedsacrament@sympatico.ca
. Be sure to include the full names of both participants. Having it
in writing ensures the correct spelling of your names on the course
preparation certificate. You may also register by phone by
contacting the parish office during regular office hours.
Please take the time to spell your names.

Book the rehearsal date: Blessed
Sacrament celebrates many weddings in the course of a year. Each
one requires a rehearsal. After you have attended the Marriage
Preparation course, book the church for your wedding rehearsal. Do
this after the course’s completion so you get your
preferred date and time. The rehearsal is usually held during the
week before your wedding.
Marriage Interviews: After attending
the Marriage Preparation course, you will make an appointment to
visit with a parish-appointed couple, who will ensure that you have
necessary paperwork needed. A file with all the required documents
will be created. After these steps are completed, you will have the
opportunity to meet with Father Joe Le Clair. He will go over your
file and discuss the results of the Pre-Marriage Inventory with
you. You can discuss final details with him about the wedding at
this time.
Wedding Rehearsal: Earlier you booked
the church for your wedding rehearsal. Members of the parish will
co-ordinate the rehearsal with you so that everyone knows what to
do and what to expect. They will help you by answering your
questions and preparing the wedding party for your big day!
