CAPE PILGRIMAGE 2018
Many Blessed Sacrament Parishioners remember last year’s 70th Anniversary Marian Congress Celebrations featuring an inspiring talk by the Rector of Canada’s National Marian Shrine in Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Fr. Pierre-Olivier Tremblay. In his talk, he spoke of Blessed Sacrament as the Shrine’s “Little sister.”
Congratulations, Bishop Pierre-Olivier Tremblay!

2nd Annual BSP/Corpus Christi School Rosary Making Event in the Hall at Blessed Sacrament!
At Blessed Sacrament we are aiming to create an intergenerational community. You know, the kind of: “It takes a village to raise a child,” type atmosphere? It sometimes feels like we are over-connected, even bombarded with instant everything, from emails to texts to tweets and the list goes on and on. All of these modern conveniences help us to keep track of one another but is it possible that intimacy is lost somewhere in the middle of it all?
So, you are invited, on June 7th to come to our church and help a child make his/her own rosary. No worries … the beads are big and the process is simple. What is most important is the human connection. You will help a young one make a rosary. Fr. Tim will bless them and then you will go upstairs with a child and pray a decade or two or three, in front of Our Lady of the Cape, Queen of the Holy Rosary. It is our hope that this will become a solid and beautiful memory for each child; a planted seed that will sprout and grow according to God’s plan for each of their lives.
The session will begin at 9:00 am in the church hall. The rosary making process will be explained. The children will then arrive at 10:00 am and will wrap up by 11:30 am.
So, no matter what your age, university age to grandparents and any age in between, please join us as we help the children come to understand the significance of praying the Rosary!

Great Glebe Garage Sale – May 26th
BSP GOODWILL AMBASSADOR
Be present to welcome “garage sale pilgrims” to our parish – many will be thankful for directions to the washroom facilities – others will appreciate touring the Church, visiting the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of the Cape and viewing the magnificent Stained Glass Windows! Come for all or part of the day. Aim to meet in the hall for 8:30 AM. Mass is at 9:30 AM so we will need all hands on deck to manage the crowds. If you can only make it later in the morning, that is ok too! Stay as long as you can!
Shalom World TV will be at BSP on Wednesday & Thursday, May 16, 17th to film DnA Live from the KIOSK featuring guest priest, Fr. Dennis Hayes, CC and Sister’s Philomena & Teresa Catherine Marie. All are welcome to attend. Show begins at 1:30 PM. Thursday, they will be filming a few Luminous episodes.
Our Lady of the Cape visited Corpus Christi for Education Week on May 14th.
